When We Pray for a Breakthru
I was talking about praying a prayer of breakthrough. Anyone needing one? Well When you ask God for a breakthrough in your life, expect him to turn battles into blessings.
King Jehoshaphat and his army let God fight their battle for them. When they went to the battlefield, this is what they found: “Not a single one of the enemy had escaped . . . There was so much plunder that it took them three days just to collect it all! On the fourth day they gathered in the Valley of Blessing, which got its name that day because the people praised and thanked the LORD there” (2 Chronicles 20:24-26 NLT).
I Believe that God wants you to live your life in your own “place of blessing,” where there's so much abundance it takes you three days to carry off the spoils of war. You can only live in the valley of blessing when you pray that breakthrough prayer—the prayer you only pray when everything is going wrong and you can’t do anything about it. When you have come to the end of you.. I have been talking about Jehoshaphat lately. Jehoshaphat’s story shows us the result of a breakthrough prayer. The first result is that you get more blessing than you can handle. If you’re wondering how you’re going to know when you’ve had a breakthrough, don’t worry. You’ll know it! It will be so amazing that you can only say, “God did that.” I have said it before, my God is a God of more than enough. There’s more that a breakthrough prayer brings. The second thing a breakthrough prayer does is it makes your love for God grow. When God does this crazy, amazing work in your life, you’ll want to worship him more. Any witnesses who have had a breakthrough before. There is more. Another result of a breakthrough prayer is that unbelievers start noticing… Check this scripture… 2 Chronicles 20:27 says : “Then all the men returned to Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat leading them, overjoyed that the LORD had given them victory over their enemies. They marched into Jerusalem to the music of harps, lyres, and trumpets”. When God creates a breakthrough in your life, you’ll want to throw a party that can’t be ignored! Your praise party serves as a witness to people who don't know God yet. You get blessed, and God gets the glory and the honor. Verses 29-30 says “When all the surrounding kingdoms heard that the LORD himself had fought against the enemies of Israel, the fear of God came over them. So Jehoshaphat’s kingdom was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side”. Wouldn't you like to have peace and security for the rest of your life?
